Licensing & Governance
The licensing framework and governance standards that govern how Scale Apps products are activated, deployed, and managed across commercial and enterprise contexts.
Activation Licensing
Scale Apps products are activated under a tiered licensing model that supports both rapid deployment for commercial use and long-term strategic deployment for enterprise contexts. All activations are subject to terms that govern scope of use, data handling, and compliance obligations. Licensing is structured to ensure that enterprises can move from evaluation to production deployment without renegotiating terms at each stage.
Commercial vs. Internal Use
Products activated for commercial customer-facing use cases operate under a separate licensing track from internal operational deployments. Each track has distinct governance requirements, audit obligations, and support tiers. The licensing framework is designed to prevent cross-contamination between commercial and internal surface contexts — a principle that is architecturally enforced, not merely contractually prohibited.
Enterprise Governance Standards
All Scale Apps products are governed by SOC 2 Type II audit controls, ISO 27001 information security standards, and GDPR data handling requirements. Enterprise deployments additionally support custom MSAs, data residency requirements, private cloud hosting, and RBAC configurations that meet the compliance requirements of regulated industries including financial services, healthcare, and government.
Audit & Compliance
Scale Apps maintains continuous audit trails for all product activations, user provisioning, and data access events. Audit logs are available for enterprise customers and are structured to support both internal compliance reviews and external regulatory examinations. All audit data is retained per the applicable data retention schedule for each deployment tier.
